WKS CHAMPIONS CUP – LONATO
Prima gara del 2023 al South Garda Karting di Lonato con il WSK Champions Cup dal 26 al 29 gennaio.
Le prove libere si chiudono con ottimi tempi considerando il livello della competizione; purtroppo le buone sensazioni del venerdì non sono servite in qualifica dato che a causa di un piccolo errore non siamo riusciti a terminare un giro cronometrato.
Dopo una buona manche A partendo dal fondo della griglia, la manche B ci ha visti coinvolti in una brutta uscita di pista a causa dell’acqua persa da un altro kart, fortunatamente senza conseguenze per il pilota. Un vero peccato considerando la rimonta che ci ha visti protagonisti sino all’incidente.
Nonostante questo siamo riusciti ad entrare nella gara Finale partendo dalla 34esima posizione.
La gara non parte benissimo a causa di un piccolo problema ai freni, riusciamo però piano piano a recuperare posizioni a suon di sorpassi e battaglie fino alla 25esima posizione sotto la bandiera a scacchi.

The free practice closes with excellent times considering the level of the competition; unfortunately the good sensations of Friday were not used in qualifying since we were unable to finish a timed lap due to a small mistake.
After a good heat A starting from the back of the grid, heat B saw us involved in a bad off the track due to water lost by another kart, fortunately without consequences for the driver. A real shame considering the comeback that saw us protagonists until the accident.
Despite this we managed to enter the Final race starting from the 34th position.
The race didn’t start very well due to a small problem with the brakes, but we slowly managed to recover positions through overtaking and battles up to the 25th position under the checkered flag.
