FINALE CAMPIONATO ROK CUP – FRANCIACORTA
Il 19 settembre 2022 abbiamo partecipato all’ultima gara della ROK Cup a Franciacorta per allenarci in vista di altri appuntamenti.
Le prove libere del sabato e della domenica ci fanno ben sperare in quanto si è riusciti a rimanere sempre a pochi decimi dai primi, con un ottimo 3° miglior tempo nella sessione domenicale.
Durante le qualifiche purtroppo non si è riusciti ad esprimere al meglio il potenziale evidenziato nelle libere a causa di un po’ di traffico e terminiamo col 12esimo tempo in griglia, a 4 decimi dalla pole position.
Gara 1 abbastanza tranquilla dove, dopo una buona partenza, abbiamo mantenuto la 12esima posizione difendendola per tutta la gara; purtroppo una carambola all’ultimo giro che ci ha visto coinvolti ci ha fatto terminare la gara al 18esimo posto, con molta frustrazione per l’accaduto per il fatto di essere completamente incolpevoli nell’accaduto.
Gara 2 si è rivelata molto più interessante e soddisfacente; partiti dalla 17esima casella, è iniziata una lenta ma inesorabile rimonta a suon di sorpassi e lotte ruota-a-ruota che ci ha portato al termine della gara, anche grazie ad alcune penalità ad alcuni avversari, a conquistare un’ottima Decima posizione finale. Un risultato che premia l’impegno e la dedizione mostrata durante il week-end di gara dal pilota e dalla squadra.
On September 19th 2022 we took part in the last ROK Cup race in Franciacorta to train for other events.
The free practice sessions on Saturday and Sunday give us hope as we managed to always stay within a few tenths of the leaders, with an excellent 3rd best time in the Sunday session.
During qualifying, unfortunately, we were unable to fully express the potential highlighted in free practice due to some traffic and we ended up 12th on the grid, 4 tenths from pole position.
Fairly calm race 1 where, after a good start, we kept the 12th position and defended it throughout the race; unfortunately a carom on the last lap that saw us involved made us finish the race in 18th place, with a lot of frustration for what happened due to the fact that we were completely innocent of what happened.
Race 2 turned out to be much more interesting and satisfying; starting from the 17th spot, a slow but inexorable comeback began with overtaking and wheel-to-wheel fights that led us to the end of the race, also thanks to some penalties to some opponents, to conquer an excellent final tenth position. A result that rewards the commitment and dedication shown by the driver and the team during the race weekend.
