A sole due settimane di distanza dalla bella prova messa a segno nella WSK Open Series, Alex Zucco è pronto per tornare in azione sul Circuito Internazionale Napoli per uno degli appuntamenti più attesi ed importanti della stagione. Il 16enne pilota di Buccinasco, infatti, sarà tra i protagonisti al via del FIA Karting European Championship, l’attesissima competizione valida per il secondo round stagionale della sfida continentale. Il portacolori del DR Racing Kart sarà nuovamente chiamato al confronto con tutti i migliori specialisti della categoria KZ2, con l’obiettivo di confermare gli evidenti progressi messi in mostra sino a questo punto della stagione.
Il fine settimana recentemente trascorso sul kartodromo di Sarno rappresenterà sicuramente un’ottima base di partenza per il grintoso Alex, il quale potrà fare affidamento sull’importante mole di dati ed esperienza accumulata lungo i 1550 metri del circuito che sorge ai piedi del Vesuvio. Gli occhi del mondo kartistico saranno puntati sui numerosi giovani talenti presenti in questo prestigioso evento, dal quale sono destinati a nascere i futuri campioni del motorsport. Per Zucco si tratterà di un’occasione di grande visibilità, ma soprattutto di una prova importante per consolidare il positivo percorso di apprendistato portato avanti in stretta sinergia con il team diretto da Danilo Rossi.
Nonostante qualche episodio poco favorevole gli abbia impedito nel recente appuntamento del WSK di ottenere risultati ancor più sorprendenti, Alex Zucco si presenta al round sul tracciato partenopeo con la stessa determinazione di sempre: il pilota lombardo potrà contare sul sostegno da parte dei tecnici della squadra e sulla consapevolezza in termini di maturità agonistica ormai raggiunta, grazie anche al fatto di potersi misurare con i migliori piloti al mondo ed in contesti di altissimo livello.
Alex Zucco (pilota DR Racing Kart): “Sono molto felice di poter tornare a correre qui a Sarno ed impaziente di potermi cimentare in questa nuova sfida del campionato europeo! Per me si tratta di una bellissima opportunità ma al tempo stesso di una prova importante per poter avere conferma dei progressi messi a segno in questa prima parte dell’anno. Abbiamo ormai accumulato un’esperienza importante su questo circuito e saremo costretti a fare i conti in questo caso con delle temperature estremamente elevate, con punte vicine ai 40° nel corso del week-end. L’obiettivo è naturalmente quello di fare il massimo e cogliere il migliore risultato possibile: siamo consapevoli del fatto che non sarà una battaglia facile visto il livello in termini di competitività ed esperienza della concorrenza, ma di certo non temiamo nessuno e ci impegneremo al meglio delle nostre possibilità. Il programma ufficiale dell’evento scatterà nella giornata di Venerdì 7 Luglio, con lo svolgimento delle prove libere a partire dalle ore 8:30; le qualifiche della KZ2 si disputeranno dalle 13:20, mentre le batterie di qualificazione (sulla distanza di 10 giri cadauna) avranno luogo nel pomeriggio con inizio alle 15:10. L’indomani proseguirà il serrato programma delle varie manche suddivise in base ai gruppi, prima del gran finale previsto per la giornata di Domenica con le due manche di Super Heat e la finale che scatterà alle 11:20. A NEW EUROPEAN CHALLENGE FOR ALEX ZUCCO IN SARNO

Just two weeks after the good performance he scored in the WSK Open Series, Alex Zucco is ready to get back into action on the Naples International Circuit for one of the most awaited and important appointments of the season. In fact, the 16-year-old driver from Buccinasco will be among the protagonists at the start of the FIA Karting European Championship, the eagerly awaited competition valid for the second seasonal round of the continental challenge. The DR Racing Kart driver will once again be called to confront all the best specialists of the KZ2 category, with the aim of confirming the evident progress shown up to this point of the season.
The weekend recently spent on the Sarno kart track will certainly represent an excellent starting point for the feisty Alex, who will be able to rely on the important amount of data and experience accumulated along the 1550 meters of the circuit that stands at the foot of Vesuvius. The eyes of the karting world will be focused on the numerous young talents present in this prestigious event, from which future motorsport champions are destined to be born. For Zucco it will be an opportunity for great visibility, but above all an important test to consolidate the positive apprenticeship path carried out in close synergy with the team led by Danilo Rossi.
Despite some unfavorable episodes preventing him from obtaining even more surprising results in the recent WSK round, Alex Zucco arrives at the round on the Neapolitan track with the same determination as always: the Lombard driver will be able to count on the support of the team technicians and on the awareness in terms of competitive maturity now achieved, thanks also to the fact of being able to compete with the best drivers in the world and in very high-level contexts.

For me this is a wonderful opportunity but at the same time an important test to be able to confirm the progress made in this first part of the year.
We have now accumulated important experience on this circuit and we will be forced to deal with extremely high temperatures in this case, with peaks close to 40° over the course of the weekend. The goal is naturally to do our best and seize the best possible result: we are aware of the fact that it will not be an easy battle given the level of competitiveness and experience of the competition, but we certainly fear no one and will do our best of our possibilities. The official program of the event will start on Friday 7 July, with free practice starting at 8:30; KZ2 qualifying will start at 1.20pm, while the qualifying heats (over a distance of 10 laps each) will take place in the afternoon starting at 3.10pm. The next day the tight schedule of the various heats divided according to the groups will continue, before the grand finale scheduled for Sunday with the two Super Heat heats and the final which will start at 11:20.
